Designed by Tomeo Trisman, it is great to see the completed photos of IREC (International Reformed Evangelical Church) at Alexandria. The new church project involved the conversion of a large industrial building into a new church facility including a new auditorium, amenities, kitchen, storage, meetings and offices facilities. Another great church project by Reitsma RFM team (Refurbishment Fit-out & Maintenance).

Reitsma has been awarded the redevelopment of the The Salvation Army Parramatta Corps and retail upgrade project at Parramatta. The $6 million project involves new commercial tenancies, a new 250 seat worship hall, new administration spaces, a new cafe and seating area along with a Children’s outdoor play area. The project will be due to commence on site soon. Architecture by Studio 23 Design, project management by Donald Cant Watts Corke.

St Paul’s Anglican Church, Carlingford NSW

Working with the Sydney Anglican Church Property Trust and DDC Architecture, Reitsma has completed St Paul’s Anglican Church. The project involved the complete redevelopment of the existing premises, with a significant portion of the existing structure demolished. Reitsma constructed a new 455 seat auditorium, new car-park and storm-water system, lift, amenities and landscaping works. The finished product is a great result for the congregation who are now using the building. Another successful project for the Anglican Church Property Trust.

New Life Anglican Church, Oran Park NSW

Working with NBRS + Partners, Gallagher Jeffs consulting and the Anglican Church property trust, Reitsma has completed an iconic building in Oran Park. Reitsma constructed the new Anglican Church directly for the Anglican Church Property Trust. Situated on the high point of the new Oran Park Precinct, this striking building is a grand Architectural statement visible all the way from the Northern Road. The building features a number of special materials and detailing, which combine to create a great asset in Oran Park for years to come. The building includes various architectural features including off form concrete, laser cut corten cladding, polished concrete, along with various forms of timber panel cladding. Built alongside the building an 18 metre high glass tower adds brilliantly to the building. At certain times of the day, the building is lit up with various colours as the tower captures the sun.

Grace City Church, Waterloo NSW

The project involved the conversion of two adjoining Warehouses and Stables into one consolidated space to accommodate the operation of an urban church facility. In recent years the warehouses had been fitted out for two separate retail spaces. Therefore the initial requirement for the project was the stripping out of these fitouts to expose the original warehouse structures. The roof structure to the rear stable was removed and replaced with structural steel and metal deck roofing. A new suspended timber floor structure was constructed over the original patchwork concrete slab. Following the repairs to the building’s envelope and structure, the internal fitout commenced. The original stables were converted into a state of the art auditorium, complete with extensive acoustic treatment, and Audio Visual System. The auditorium’s Bi-fold glass doors allow the rear lane to be used as an outdoor breakout space. In the front portion of the property internal masonry walls were modified to create large archways linking the two warehouses together and to accommodate a Café and Lobby area, bathrooms and flexible meeting rooms.

St Peters Anglican Church, Glenbrook NSW

Design and construction of a new Anglican Church located in the lower Blue Mountains. The project involved the complete demolition of the existing church facility and the construction of a new facility. The building includes a large commercial style kitchen, spacious auditorium, offices and youth areas, wet areas and both hard and soft landscaping. Some notable features of the new building are the expressed structural steel elements and sandstone feature walls usingm stone salvaged from the original church. The building blends extremely well with the surrounding streetscape and community.

St Peters Anglican Church, Watsons Bay NSW

The project required major alterations and additions to the existing 100 year old hall building for St Peter’s Anglican Church, Watsons Bay. The building was extended on all four sides to provide new amenities areas, break out spaces, office areas and a new kitchen.

Reitsma worked on this project in collaboration with Raymond Panetta Architects. Some notable features are the new glass facades, along with exposed brick and timber finishes.

St Stephans Anglican Church, Normanhurst NSW

In collaboration with NBRS+Partners, Reitsma completed alterations and additions to St Stephen’s Anglican Church. Works included the construction of a new administration area and the extension of an existing hall as well as making alterations and additions to the existing church. Safety and performance were paramount during this project as a preschool was operational next to the site during construction.
