MBA Award Winner 2014: Tertiary Building, Up to $3 Million

The construction and fit-out of this new two-storey film academy was completed by Reitsma within a tight timeframe. The works involved construction of a new structural steel framed first floor and additional structural members to services and plant. The project required high-end acoustic treatment throughout the development, with a particular focus on the needs of recording and production facilities. The finishes within the building are exceptional, with striking use of colours, polished concrete, exposed ductwork as well as feature plasterboard and glazing. Numerous floor systems were used including sprung rubber flooring, sprung timber flooring, feature vinyl, carpet and tiles.
