Reitsma provided an alternate design for the project to help, reduce risk of cost over run, minimise the impact on the client while the works where being undertaken and ensure that there wasn’t any time increases on the program. Works included a contiguous pile wall that was built behind the existing heritage retaining wall to sure up the stability. The tight access site provided some big challenges in the size of the machinery that could access the area. In the end the project was completed with zero damage to the existing wall, while providing the long term strength that the wall needed to be there for the next 100 years
