MBA Newcastle Award Winner 2018: Commercial Projects, $3,000,000 – $6,000,000

Working with Catholic Schools Office, Reitsma recently completed a stunning new library at St Pius X High School. The project required the demolition of the existing library, and the construction of a new two-storey Library and Forecourt. The remarkable design by SHAC Architects includes expansive Aramax roofing, a grand timber amphitheatre, seniors learning area, modern study and creation spaces. The building exterior includes beautiful sandstone cladding and a giant glass facade overlooking new landscaping works. A towering forecourt structure provides covered outdoor congregation space and links to existing and new buildings. We are delighted to have completed such an impressive building!
